This is MEA & COMPANY
I lived on a star and fell down far,
landing on Earth and given new birth.
Imprisoned into form of matter, amidst a culture of much chatter.
A tad befuddled and out of place,
there is much to learn about this time and space.
Enjoyment of sensations upon which to relate,
still the Universe determines my fate.
In a world of imagination where thoughts are real
a journey through the shadow lands is just part of the deal.
When life’s lessons become a task and a bore,
then it’s time to escape this mass and soar.
VISIONS
Huge tumbleweeds appear upon
a hazed sunlit horizon:
Having eaten the dirt tasting fruit of the cactus,
The world seems so, so very strange.
Having partaken of a sharing of a holy communion,
I must pretend . . .
That I have not seen what I have seen,
Nor speak of things I'd rather not remember.
People keep telling me of their plans and ambitions,
But I know its better to expect nothing,
And to accept the everything for what it brings.
It has ever been true from the start,
The doors of perception are always open,
If you just look out from your heart.
